Job Title: Legal Compliance Analyst

Arendt & Medernach, a leading business law firm in Luxembourg, is seeking a skilled Legal Compliance Analyst to join its team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations relevant to our industry, ensuring our company practices and procedures comply with these legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular checks of internal processes and documentation to identify potential compliance issues, developing and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in the creation and revision of company policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to employees on compliance-related matters, developing educational materials and conducting workshops as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed compliance reports for management, reviewing and analyzing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they meet legal and compliance standards.
  • Support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in day-to-day activities, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Work closely with all support departments, including Human Resources, Finance, IT, and Operations, to ensure cohesive implementation of compliance measures and address any compliance-related issues across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional – CCEP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance or legal role.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in legal research and compliance management, and data protection knowledge.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Fluency in English and French (both spoken and written).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling compliance documentation and reporting.
