About the Role

Sanoptis AG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Expert to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert legal guidance on a wide range of matters, including labor law, medical law, patient rights, and regulatory compliance. Your primary responsibility will be to support our business operations across various geographies, working closely with senior management, external stakeholders, and team members in the finance, M&A, compliance, and business operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice to the management team on various legal issues, including labor law, medical law, patient rights, and regulatory questions.
  • Work closely with the M&A team and other departments to provide integrated legal support during acquisitions.
  • Manage and consult with international and local law firms on various legal matters, ensuring superior service delivery on a timely and cost-effective basis.
  • Support the M&A team and manage the legal aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, contract discussions, and post-merger integration.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate acquisition agreements together with members of the M&A team.
  • Liaise with external legal advisors to ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in law or fully qualified lawyer with a degree in law and/or admission to the bar in Germany, Switzerland, or another relevant jurisdiction.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a legal counsel, preferably within a corporate environment or law firm.
  • Experience in handling M&A transactions from start to finish, including due diligence, contract negotiation, and post-transaction integration.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare sector or with healthcare-related legal issues is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze legal risks and provide strategic advice to mitigate them effectively.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and succinctly to those without a legal background.
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach to identifying issues and developing solutions in a fast-paced environment with a growth-focused, private equity-backed business model.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
