Cloud Infrastructure Internship for Satellite Control Center
Job Description:Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to support the Ground Segment Studies, Systems Engineering & IVV team in the design and implementation of turn-key solutions for complete Ground Segment, including data receiving stations, payload data processing and satellite control system.
Responsibilities:- Definition of cloud infrastructure components and services for a Ground Segment.
- Realization and configuration of the infrastructure into an Airbus-managed private cloud.
- Definition and deployment in the cloud of a Satellite Control Center based on the new European mission control software EGS-CC, for single and multi satellite missions.
- Implement and evaluate telemetry/telecommand interactions with a simulated satellite.
- Enrolled full-time student in the area of Computer Science, Telecommunication or an equivalent field of study.
- Good programming skills (e.g. Java, Python)
- Good knowledge of Linux environment
- Knowledge of virtualisation and cloud technology is an advantage
- Knowledge of telemetry/telecommand standards is an advantage
- Team-player
- Good communication skills
- Self-organising
- English: advanced
- German: basic (any higher level is an advantage)
