Job Description

Role Overview

The Software Packaging Expert will be responsible for designing and developing software packages using various tools such as MSI, PowerShell Deployment Toolkit (PDT), MSIX, and setup routines. This includes leveraging these tools for streamlined packaging, integrating complex applications into Windows installations, and managing software packaging architecture.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software packages using advanced tools and techniques.
  • Leverage tools for efficient packaging processes.
  • Integrate complex applications into Windows installations.
  • Manage and consult on software packaging architecture.
  • Analyze and automate packaging processes to improve efficiency.
  • Document software packages and workflows using relevant tools.
  • Distribute packages through SCCM or Tanium and Microsoft Intune.
  • Collaborate with external software packaging services for accurate delivery.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a certificate as an IT Specialist in System Integration, or equivalent training with professional experience as a Software Packager.
  • In-depth knowledge of software management and packaging principles, with demonstrable experience.
  • Experience in cooperating with external software packaging services.
  • Expertise in optimizing operational processes, preferably with ITIL Foundation/Intermediate certification.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell Deployment Toolkit, SCCM/Tanium, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Ideal experience with Jira & Confluence.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and analytical skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.
