Job Title: Linux System Administrator

The Max Planck Computing and Data Facility (MPCDF) is a leading competence center for high-performance computing and data-intensive projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator to join our team and contribute to the development and optimization of our data services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and further develop the MPCDF data services
  • Ensure the smooth operation of our data-driven services
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement solutions for data-intensive projects
  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate tasks and improve efficiency
Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of Linux system administration
  • Programming and scripting experience (Python, Bash)
  • Good communication skills (in English and German)
  • Experience in the administration of self-hosted GitLab instances or similar web-based services
