We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Amaris Consulting in Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing auxiliary converters for railway and bus applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of auxiliary converters for railway and bus applications.
  • Specification of components and setting technical requirements in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Specification, execution, and documentation of validation tests.
  • Participation and support of production and series testing.
  • Creation of technical documentation required for the project.
  • Technical point of contact for customers, challenging their requirements and offering tailored solutions.
  • Support for the service and repair department in analyzing and rectifying faults.
  • Support for the technical sales team and participation in standardization and improvement of product families.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Electrical engineer with + 5 years of professional experience in converter development.
  • Proven experience in design and application of power electronics, preferably in auxiliary power or railway technology.
  • Enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary team.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in using SiC semiconductors.
  • PhD in power electronics would be beneficial.
