Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer - Converter Development

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Amaris Consulting. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and development of auxiliary converters for railway and bus applications.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop auxiliary converters for railway and bus applications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to specify components and set technical requirements.
  • Specify, execute, and document validation tests.
  • Participate in production and series testing.
  • Develop technical documentation for projects.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers, challenging their requirements and offering tailored solutions.
  • Support the service and repair department in analyzing and rectifying faults.
  • Support the technical sales team and participate in standardizing and improving product families.

Your Profile:

  • You have a good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
  • You are an electrical engineer with + 5 years of professional experience in the field of converter development.
  • You have proven experience in the field of design and application of power electronics, preferably in the areas of auxiliary power or railway technology.
  • You enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary team.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in using SiC semiconductors.
  • A PhD in the field of power electronics would be beneficial.
