Ericsson Antenna System (EAS) is at the forefront of delivering a comprehensive suite of innovative, high-quality Antenna and Antenna Line Devices, integral to Ericsson Radio Systems. We are currently seeking a dedicated Network Systematization Engineer to enhance our team.

Our focus encompasses advanced passive and active antenna systems spanning from 2G to 5G and beyond. We are engaged in antenna systematization to elevate overall system performance, ensuring the advancement and security of antenna technology and development. The team is involved in every facet of the product development lifecycle, including technical studies, pre-development, and designs for high-volume products.

Your responsibilities will encompass antenna system engineering tasks such as requirement analysis, technical evaluations of base station antenna product performance, and the development of network simulation tools.

We emphasize Lean and Agile methodologies, organizing ourselves into cross-functional development teams where continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing are integral to our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

In this capacity, you will lead and engage in antenna systems engineering activities, including:

  • Conducting technical evaluations on the performance of base station antenna products and exploring new developments in the network.
  • Contributing to the creation of network simulation tools for comprehensive system analysis.
  • Leading and participating in studies focused on requirements and system solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify emerging challenges and opportunities for antenna advancements.
  • Assisting product managers, R&D, business units, and market units with product documentation, development, technical customer requirements, and additional inquiries.

Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree or higher in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in MATLAB, with experience in antenna simulation software such as HFSS and CST.
- Solid understanding of channel modeling, cellular networks, and MIMO systems.
- Familiarity with 3GPP standards and cellular networks.
- Strong grasp of RF and antenna principles, along with knowledge of base station antenna architectures.
- Experience working within interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborative mindset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Research experience or scientific expertise in relevant projects is a plus.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of German is advantageous.
