About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our team at Ericsson Deutschland. As a key member of our Antenna Systems Engineering team, you will play a critical role in driving the development of innovative antenna systems and network solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical investigations on the performance of base station antenna products and new developments in the network, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network simulation tools for system analysis, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Drive and participate in studies regarding requirements and system solutions, providing expert insights and recommendations.
  • Support product managers and engineering teams in the development of antenna systems and network solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in antenna simulations software, such as HFSS and CST, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of channel modeling, cellular networks, and MIMO systems, as well as 3GPP and cellular network standards.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to identify new challenges and opportunities for antenna developments, ensuring a collaborative and agile approach.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to colleagues, ensuring the highest level of technical expertise and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of MATLAB and experience with antenna simulations software.
  • Strong understanding of RF- and antenna principles, as well as base station antenna architectures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills in English, with German language knowledge an advantage.
  • Experience working with network planning tools, such as ATOLL and Planet, is a plus.
  • Scientific expertise or work experience in research projects is an advantage.
