Job Title: IT Operations Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist to join our team at Siemens AG. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, administration, operation, and 2nd level support of the DNS solution and the secure mail gateway environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, define, and perform operations and support activities specific to DNS and mail operations.
- Design and operate the Secure Mail Gateway solution, including troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain complex scripts in the field of process automation.
- Monitor and manage the DNS and mail environment, as well as support the firewall team with simple tasks.
- Perform 7*24h on-call-troubleshooting and troubleshooting in the areas of DNS, mail, and firewall.
- Regularly coordinate with other departments regarding requirements and safety aspects.
Requirements:
- A successfully completed degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Several years of professional experience in the areas of DNS, scripting, and the mail environment.
- Market-driven know-how on relevant technologies, such as DNS (Bind 9), DNSSEC, scripting, and Secure Mail.
- A basic understanding of technologies, including Unix OS and mySQL.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in creating and maintaining scripts, preferably with Python.
- A high degree of result orientation and willingness to do on-call service.
- Very good English skills, especially technical English.
