Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at STRATO Personal GmbH. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including harnesses, assemblies, and parts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality designs
  • Support the EWIS process improvement, guidelines, and tools
  • Develop 3D designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings
Requirements:
  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related field
  • Minimum 5-6 years of aerospace experience, with good understanding of a Part 21J design organization environment
  • Experience with electrical harness design and routing in the context of aerospace is key
  • Knowledge of electrical 3D drawing tools such as NX is required
  • Good knowledge of aerospace standards and specifications such as AC43.13-1B, ATA chapter 20, ATA 100, S1000D, ARP4754A and DO160 is preferred
  • Demonstrable knowledge and ability to integrate design and manufacturing methods into product concepts and designs is required
  • Good knowledge of harness routing and installations rules (such as redundancy, segregations, protections, band radius, attachment, marking, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge with PDM/PLM systems (Teamcenter or equivalent) is required
  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously is preferred
  • Adaptability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Fluent English language skills are essential; fluent German or other languages are beneficial
