Financial Accountant

Alpha Trains is a leading player in the European rail industry, with a strong presence in 22 countries and a team of over 140 employees from diverse backgrounds. As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial reporting for various international entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/HGB standards.
  • Handle payroll accounting, travel expenses, and operational accounting tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including those for international entities, with a focus on transparency and clarity.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Support VAT declarations and assist auditors with financial inquiries, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with external accounting providers to reconcile accounts, prepare financial statements, and ensure seamless communication.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in IFRS/HGB and intercompany accounting.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics 365, with a focus on user knowledge and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proactive and positive approach, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
