At Alstom, we're looking for a skilled professional to join our Site Procurement team at the BAUTZEN site. As a Buyer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement process for our projects.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany the complete supplier selection process, from initial contact to contract award.
- Prepare and initiate requests for quotation with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring adherence to Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Technical (QCDT) objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and develop strategies to improve their capabilities.
- Implement procurement strategies for assigned product groups, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective teamwork and problem-solving.
Your Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of university education or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of ERP systems and Office applications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Fluency in German and English, with a strong understanding of business terminology.
- Ability to travel for business purposes, both domestically and internationally.
