Procurement Specialist

At Alstom, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in the Site Procurement department at the BAUTZEN site.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany the complete supplier selection process
  • Prepare and initiate the request for quotation with suppliers
  • Lead the negotiation for different projects
  • Ensure delivery commitments and adherence to deadlines and quality
  • Trigger orders
  • Ensure project execution in line with QCDT objectives
  • Monitor the supplier's performance and supplier development in coordination with the supplier's quality team
  • Implement the strategy for assigned product groups
  • Consolidate requirements per product group and deliver inputs
  • Participate actively in the product group strategy and panel development
  • Ensure effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem-solving
  • Assess risky suppliers and manage the associated improvement plan
  • Build supplier relationships

Your Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of university education (Bachelor) or 3 years of vocational training + 2 years of specialized training
  • Many years of professional experience
  • ERP knowledge, proficient in Office and web applications
  • Ability to work in a team and international mindset, negotiating skills, assertiveness, results orientation
  • Agility, self-motivation, flexibility, and resilience
  • Experience and confident demeanor as well as good communication skills in dealing with internal and external partners
  • Very good knowledge of German and English at B2 level
  • Willingness to undertake business trips at home and abroad
