We are looking for a Network and Digital Communication Systems Engineer to join our team in Oberpfaffenhofen.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Define terrestrial and space network architectures, including user terminals.
  • Calculate link budgets in digital communication systems.
  • Perform traffic model simulations.
  • Define interface requirements for space, ground, and user segments.
  • Support the overall payload design for telecommunication satellites.
  • Identify future satellite communication technologies.
  • Interact with industrial and institutional cooperation partners and customers.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals.

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in communication engineering, network engineering, or electrical engineering with a focus on telecommunication.
  • Knowledge of network management.
  • Experience in modeling and traffic-routing of networks.
  • Knowledge of 5G/6G standards, with familiarity with 3GPP an advantage.
  • Knowledge of space communication standards (DVB-S/S2/RCS) an advantage.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • English working-level proficiency.
