Research Opportunity in Cancer Biology

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at the Department for Internal Medicine 1 at Ulm University. The successful candidate will contribute to a DFG-funded research project investigating the role of extracellular vesicles in pancreatic cancer.

About the Project

Our research focuses on understanding how prominent PDAC driver mutations affect the secretion and cargo content of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs, exosomes) to mediate intercellular communication in the tumor microenvironment and with distant metastatic niches. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join the exciting field of extracellular vesicle research and elucidate intercellular communication networks in pancreatic cancer.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (overall grade 2.0 or better according to the German grading system or equivalent)
  • Experience with molecular biology, cancer biology, or extracellular vesicles
  • Motivation to solve complex biological problems
  • Motivation to work with animal model systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English
