Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement teaching plans to facilitate a rich learning environment for adult students.
- Contribute to the development of course curriculum and lessons, incorporating knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Work with students and educational staff to create academic and career pathways plans.
- Maintain knowledge of TCC and DOC policies and procedures, as well as Florida Department of Education vocational frameworks.
- Utilize project management and organizational skills to effectively manage tasks and follow through on responsibilities.
- Communicate course material to students in an effective manner, using teaching strategies that meet the varying abilities of students.
To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate knowledge of construction principles and applications, as well as adult learning principles. They must also possess excellent human relationship skills, be skilled in project management and organization, and be able to use MS Office applications and internet navigation.
A high school diploma or equivalent, and six years of experience in the vocational being taught, is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution and two years of occupational experience in the vocation being taught may be substituted.
