PreMaster Program IC Designer

Bosch Sensortec GmbH is a leading technology company in sensing solutions based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). We develop and market key technologies for consumer electronics, including smartphones, tablets, hearables, wearables, smartglasses, augmented and virtual reality applications, and gaming devices.
As a PreMaster Program IC Designer, you will be part of our innovative team at Bosch Sensortec headquarters, pioneering the development of cutting-edge Mixed-Signal ICs. We are seeking talents with an interest in analog or digital IC design.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging in the development of both analog and digital circuits tailored for sensor ASICs
- Performing simulations and tests to guarantee optimal performance and reliability
- Handling programming and execution of test programs for ASIC verification
- Validating ASIC designs in laboratory environments and evaluating real silicon results
- Utilizing Python to automate measurement procedures
- Exploring the application of data science methods to assess large datasets from ASIC characterization
Qualifications include:
- Personality: Open-minded, eager to learn, and willingness to work in international and interdisciplinary teams
- Working Practice: Problem solver and effective team player with focused and independent working style
- Experience: Basic understanding of analog and digital IC design principles and methodologies; experience in ASIC design flow (Cadence Virtuoso, VHDL), laboratory equipment, or data science (e.g. Python, Tableau)
- Languages: Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential - knowledge of German is advantageous
- Education: Bachelor degree of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
The Bosch PreMaster Program is a two-stage qualification program for committed graduates with Bachelor's degrees who want to complete a Master's degree. After the Bachelor's degree, the first phase offers up to 12 months of practical experience as part of a gap year to learn about technical and business contexts. The second phase comprises the Master's course and includes further practical experience in the context of student employment as well as personal mentoring on the road to successful completion.
