Account Executive

About the Role
Cadence Germany is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating business from specified accounts and other open territory accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary sales contact for Cadence products in specified accounts.
- Develop technical sales plans to generate business from those accounts and other open territory accounts.
- Work with internal teams to develop and execute account plans and manage customer engagements.
- Identify customer pain points and work with internal teams to identify perfect solutions using Cadence's technologies and services.
- Make targeted sales presentations at appropriate customer levels and respond to objections.
- Accurately forecast business pipeline.
- Interact with the Global sales team as needed and contribute to worldwide activities in such accounts that require a global approach.
- Be flexible for travel across locations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software or technology sales, with EDA/semiconductor sales experience preferred.
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Physics, MBA an advantage.
- Good understanding of IC design process.
- Strong communication skills (German and English, verbal and written), ability to communicate to engineering and financial staff at all levels.
- Result-oriented, tactful, and polite with a positive attitude to nurture and build long-term customer relationships.
- Hungry for new business opportunities and convert them into long-term business for the company.
- Ability to call high in the customer organizations while maintaining good relationships at all lower levels.
- Excellent contract negotiation and sales skills.
- Good team player, who can rally internal stakeholders and enjoys competition.
