PhD Researcher in Cancer Biology

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at the Department for Internal Medicine 1 at Ulm University. The successful candidate will investigate how prominent PDAC driver mutations affect secretion and cargo content of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs, exosomes) to mediate intercellular communication in the tumor microenvironment and with distant metastatic niches.

The project is part of a DFG funded research project and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of cancer biology. The candidate will have the opportunity to join the structured curriculum of the International Graduate School in Molecular Medicine Ulm (IGradU) PhD training program to acquire a PhD or Dr. rer. nat. degree.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, experience with molecular biology, cancer biology or extracellular vesicles, and excellent communication skills in English. Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate the role of PDAC driver mutations in the secretion and cargo content of sEVs
  • Contribute to the development of new research projects and collaborations
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier journals

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with molecular biology, cancer biology or extracellular vesicles
  • Excellent communication skills in English
