About the Role

TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants, a global leader in property loss control, is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Loss Control Surveys for prospects and clients to evaluate property and business interruption exposures.
  • Perform plan review services to ensure compliance with NFPA Standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop recommendations based on standards to include loss estimates before and after completion of the recommendations.
  • Evaluate automatic fire protection and water supply systems.
  • Report and evaluate building construction, occupancy, special and natural hazards.
  • Develop loss estimates based on scenarios such as the Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
  • Provide training and peer review for other consultants; serve as a technical resource to other consultants.
  • Services provided to clients include training, loss control program development, code or regulatory interpretation.
  • May prepare and present proposals, develop service instructions, solicit client feedback and prepare stewardship reports.

Requirements

  • Have a four-year college degree or higher.
  • Be disciplined and motivated to manage assigned work.
  • Be able to apply technical knowledge to client needs to assist in the business decision-making process.
  • Must be able to: climb ladders; lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; stoop, crouch, crawl; traverse catwalks.
