Division Lead for Additive Manufacturing Processes
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team as a Division Lead for Additive Manufacturing Processes. As a key member of our interdisciplinary research network, you will be responsible for building an institutional AM alliance between TUM and industry.
Responsibilities- Establish and lead a research group focused on process automation, integration of process control, online monitoring, and real-time prediction.
- Solicit third-party funds, particularly in cooperation with ministries, industry, and EU/national funding associations.
- Develop and deliver lectures and courses in the field of additive manufacturing.
- Communicate with industry networks, academic partners, and politics to promote the AM alliance.
- Doctoral degree in Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Material Science, Physics, or comparable fields.
- Proven background in additive manufacturing processes is mandatory.
- Several years of professional experience in industry is strongly recommended.
- Previous post-doctoral experience is favorable.
- Determination and independent working style, as well as teamwork and communication skills.
- German and English language skills.
