Division Lead for Additive Manufacturing Processes

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to lead our additive manufacturing processes team at the Technical University of Munich. As a Division Lead, you will be responsible for building an institutional alliance between TUM and industry, conducting independent research, and collaborating with world-leading AM industrial companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement research strategies to advance additive manufacturing processes
  • Lead a team of researchers in the development of new AM technologies
  • Collaborate with industry partners to identify research needs and opportunities
  • Secure funding for research projects through grants and partnerships
  • Teach and mentor students in the field of additive manufacturing

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Material Science, Physics, or comparable fields
  • Proven background in additive manufacturing processes is mandatory
  • Several years of professional experience in industry is strongly recommended
  • Previous post-doctoral experience is favorable
  • Determination and independent working style as well as teamwork and communication skills
  • German and English language skills
