About the Role

Pictet, a leading independent wealth and asset manager, is seeking a Senior Market Infrastructure Regulations Expert to strengthen its regulatory compliance capabilities. As a key member of the Pan-European Risk & Compliance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm's compliance with EU/UK Market Infrastructure regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of activities and processes in compliance with Market Infrastructure regulations, including front-to-back transactional flows, client onboarding, and regulatory transaction reporting.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the first and second lines of defense, providing guidance on the implementation of control frameworks and assisting in control testing.
  • Manage and oversee Market Infrastructure policies and directives, initiating thematic reviews to ensure compliance and participating in relevant committees.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into actionable implementation plans, contributing to the implementation while considering best market practices.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Market Infrastructure topics with relevant National Competent Authorities (NCAs) and auditors.
  • Perform regulatory watch and impact analysis, cooperating with Group functions.
  • Participate in professional associations to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, or Risk Management.
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in banking or the finance industry, preferably in Market Infrastructure regulatory compliance topics or projects.
  • Prior experience dealing with EU regulators/authorities, specifically strong knowledge of BaFin's expectations related to Market Infrastructure requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with peers and external stakeholders.
  • A team player with a positive approach, strong culture of risk management, flexibility, and ability to cope with stress and manage priorities.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Fluency in German and/or English, French a plus.
