Operations Director

As an Operations Manager at Amazon Heidenheim GmbH, you will be responsible for leading a team of Area Managers and driving operational excellence across our sites. Your key responsibilities will include managing and developing your team, leading operational teams on a shift, and analysing shift performance against business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve operational excellence
- Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues and positively impacting site performance
- Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational performance
- Collaborate with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
- Design and deliver initiatives to improve operational performance across sites
You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as a key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. Your day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics, and mentoring and coaching your team to achieve their best.
About the TeamAmazon Extra Large (AMXL) is responsible for managing the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns, with a focus on customer care. Our team is expanding its specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe, and we are open to hiring candidates to work out of various locations.
Requirements- A degree (Bachelor, Master)
- Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
- Advanced proficiency in the local language
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains
