Medical Science Liaison Specialist

Job Description

As a Medical Science Liaison at Santen, you will play a crucial role in supporting key medical affairs activities, working closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal colleagues. Your solid contributions will support field-based medical activities for KOLs, ensuring the success of our medical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize Physician Awareness: Provide medical expertise, collect scientific and medical feedback from customers, and enhance physician awareness of Santen.
  • Attend Congresses and Presentations: Attend local, national, and international congresses to meet with opinion leaders, observe podium presentations, and maintain an in-depth understanding of scientific and therapeutic advances.
  • Present Data and Materials: Present data on existing products and new launches to healthcare professionals, including physicians, hospital practitioners, formulary committees, and pharmacists, as well as Santen internal colleagues.
  • Develop Educational Materials: Help develop scientific educational materials, participate in customer training/education programs, and train Santen internal colleagues.
  • Support Research and Development: Support local sites involved in R&D or Medical Affairs Santen studies, if requested.
  • Facilitate Research Opportunities: Facilitate the identification and presentation of research opportunities for consideration in support of our products.
  • Implement Protocol Development: Assist in the implementation of protocol development and administration for proposals to be supported (ISTs and Santen local studies).
  • Network with Patient Associations: Network with patient associations and identify potential collaborations with Santen.
  • Support Market Access Activities: Support market access activities, as requested.

Qualifications
  • Education: University Degree in Life Science (MD, pharmacist, biologist).
  • Language: Spoken language: Native German; Fluency in English.
