Statutory Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Statutory Compliance Specialist to join our team at Lloyd's Register. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of statutory compliance processes across our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with local offices to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely statutory compliance processes.
  • Review and sign-off on output from our outsourced provider, including tax returns, VAT returns, and financial statements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with Group Tax to resolve direct tax-related issues and coordinate local audits.
  • Perform local compliance activities and support Group Treasury with cash repatriation from foreign countries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Standard working knowledge of English and preferably one or more local European languages.
  • Experience working with auditors and in a statutory and compliance environment.
  • Knowledge of local compliance requirements for tax, accounting, and reporting.
