About Vantage Data Centers
Vantage Data Centers is committed to delivering exceptional data center services, and we're seeking a skilled Critical Facilities Technician to join our team. As a Critical Facilities Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, providing top-notch service to our customers, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on data center infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ensure the reliability and efficiency of data center operations, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime.
- Collaborate with the Site Operations Department to develop and implement maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Supervise and train junior technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Advanced technical training in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data center operations, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Reliable transportation for reporting to work on shifts or emergencies.
Physical Demands
- Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
- Ability to raise objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally from position-to-position.
- Ability to work on raised floors, maneuvering and working underneath and around raised floors of varying heights.
