About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Safety Engineer in the field of maritime security research. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the security of maritime critical infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data- and model-based analyses to assess and enhance the security of maritime critical infrastructures
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop practical methods for threat mitigation, risk management, and resilience in maritime settings
  • Research and develop innovative approaches for the protection of maritime critical infrastructures and advanced solutions for decision support and leadership assistance for security authorities
  • Participate in projects and collaborate with partner groups and end-users to achieve practice-oriented results
Requirements
  • A completed academic degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a relevant field
  • Experience in project management and the management of externally funded projects is desirable
  • Knowledge of structures of security authorities and their roles in hazard prevention, ideally in the context of critical infrastructures, is advantageous
