Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a Backend Software Engineer at Remote, you will be responsible for building, shipping, and maintaining our backend software systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional development teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient software solutions using Elixir and Phoenix.
- Collaborate with our cross-functional development teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Work closely with our Engineering Team Lead to ensure that our software systems meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of software engineering and apply this knowledge to improve our software systems.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Backend Software Engineer, including building, shipping, and maintaining complex software systems.
- Solid knowledge and experience in Elixir and Postgres (or similar database).
- Experience in dealing with ambiguity, taking abstract concepts, and turning them into working software.
- Ability to work independently and self-guided.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop.
- Experience working in HR- or Fintech projects is a plus.
