Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team in Berlin and contribute to the development of scalable APIs and daemons that power social media solutions for top publishers. As a key member of our team, you will work on software at scale, leveraging your expertise in Python, relational databases, and Amazon AWS to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable APIs and daemons that meet the needs of our clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software at scale, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security
  • Work with external web APIs and develop backend web services to support our social media solutions
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Perl
  • Experience working with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL)
  • Experience with Amazon AWS
  • Experience writing asynchronous services at scale
  • Linux Experience (we primarily use Debian)
  • Fluent written and oral English is required
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with streaming data: ZeroMQ, Kinesis, Kafka
  • Redis
  • ElasticSearch
  • Prometheus/Grafana for instrumentation
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Working in a multinational setup and with team members in different locations
