Marine Underwriter Global Risks Job Description
At HDI AG, we are seeking a highly skilled Marine Underwriter Global Risks to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for implementing our marine underwriting strategy and developing coverage concepts in collaboration with our branch offices.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marine underwriting strategies to meet business objectives
- Collaborate with branch offices to develop coverage concepts and underwriting guidelines
- Make informed decisions on pricing and scope of cover
- Assume responsibility for underwriting decisions and portfolio steering
- Implement and maintain underwriting guidelines and standards
- Promote collaboration with related functions and support underwriter training
Your Profile:
- Completed training in insurance and finance, with further training as an insurance specialist or completed studies with a focus on business administration or law
- Experience in underwriting marine insurance, especially industrial risks
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English, with other foreign languages welcome
- Willingness to travel within and outside Europe
