About Us
Symrise, a global leader in the fragrance, flavor, and nutrition industries, is seeking an experienced Senior Sustainability Strategy Manager to join its team. With a presence in over 100 locations worldwide, Symrise offers a dynamic and international work environment.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company's sustainability strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with EU regulations and reporting requirements.
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy, focusing on:
- Creating a strategic roadmap to ensure compliance with EU CSRD standards and processes;
- Further developing our corporate ESG strategy aligned with the latest EU Taxonomy requirements;
- Ensuring comprehensive data collection to comply with current and future EU regulations and ESG reporting requirements;
- Monitoring and reporting on ESG performance, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and investors;
- Conducting comprehensive ESG assessments of investment opportunities and providing insights to support decision-making;
- Collaborating with internal teams to integrate ESG factors into investment processes and risk assessments.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Master's degree in Controlling, Accounting, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in sustainability and ESG management in industry or consulting/auditing firms, with a deep understanding of current and upcoming sustainability requirements;
- Professional experience with sustainability reporting, reporting frameworks, and requirements, especially CSRD and EU Taxonomy;
- Expert knowledge of EU Taxonomy, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR);
- Strong strategic thinking and project management skills, with experience in a cross-functional role, preferably in an international business environment;
- Entrepreneurial thinking, good comprehension, and a structured way of working, with a high degree of initiative and independence;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams;
- English language proficiency is a must; German and/or French language skills are advantageous.
Our Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible work arrangements, day-care facilities, and further offers to support work-life balance.
