Job Title: Operational Purchasing Specialist

As a key member of the Global Supply Planning team, you will be responsible for managing purchase volumes for a set of products in line with departmental goals on inventory and availability. This role requires strong communication and coordination skills, as well as the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Operative purchasing for dedicated set of products: Placing orders and being the main contact for a certain group of suppliers
  • Support the purchasing process for new product launches
  • Work closely with strategic purchasing on pricing and availability of key components
  • Maintain all relevant item and master data and reconcile supplier delivery dates and information in the ERP system
  • Cooperate with the logistics team for all freight aspects
  • Allocate stock to various central warehouses based on forecasts
  • Process invoices and other documents related to the ordering process
Your Profile:
  • At least 3 years of commercial training with a focus on business administration, supply chain or similar
  • At least 2-5 years of professional experience in planning and purchasing with a focus on customer needs
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and German in a fast-paced work environment worldwide
  • Precise and reliable in the execution of daily tasks
  • Willing to assist in the implementation of new processes and procedures that affect the team
  • Understanding of the sales requirements and drivers in different local markets
  • Previous experience working with ERP systems, preferably JDE and Futurmaster, ideally SAP
  • Strong team player and good at intercultural communication
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office 365 packages
