Operational Purchasing Specialist

As a key member of the Global Supply Planning team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be to manage purchase volumes for a set of products, aligning with departmental goals on inventory and availability. You will work closely with strategic purchasing to negotiate pricing and availability of key components, maintaining accurate item and master data in our ERP system.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Operative purchasing for a dedicated set of products, including placing orders and serving as the main contact for suppliers.
- Supporting the purchasing process for new product launches and collaborating with logistics teams on freight aspects.
- Managing long-term purchase volume planning, engaging with suppliers, and providing regular supply delivery, inventory, and availability information.
- Supporting global warehouse volume management, proactively pushing or pulling orders based on inventory levels and demand evolution.
- At least 3 years of commercial training with a focus on business administration, supply chain, or similar.
- At least 2-5 years of professional experience in planning and purchasing, with a focus on customer needs.
- Fluent communication in English and German in a fast-paced work environment worldwide.
- Precise and reliable execution of daily tasks, with a willingness to assist in implementing new processes and procedures.
- Understanding of sales requirements and drivers in different local markets, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for tasks.
- Previous experience working with ERP systems, preferably JDE and Futurmaster, ideally SAP.
- Strong team player with good intercultural communication skills, both within the team and with customers and suppliers.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office 365 packages.
