Job Description
We are seeking an experienced EWIS Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our electric air taxi systems. As an EWIS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the electrical wiring interconnection system (EWIS) for our Volocity aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop EWIS for our Volocity aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EWIS with other aircraft systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions.
- Work closely with our prototyping team to integrate EWIS into the aircraft and ensure proper functionality.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in EWIS design and implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EWIS design and implementation in the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring design, including mechanical, electrical, and thermal aspects.
- Experience with PLM systems, such as Siemens Teamcenter.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3D EWIS design and implementation.
- Knowledge of electrical schematic and quality processes.
- Understanding of EWIS flight test instrumentation.
- Experience in system and requirements engineering.
