About the Role

Carnival Corporation and plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel and technical services on board our cruise ships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel and technical services, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of hotel technical and F&I operations, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and drive a culture of safety and environmental protection.
  • Manage the hotel F&I and technical dry dock activities, including budget forecasting and control.
  • Plan and manage projects, including scheduling, prioritizing, and organizing work.
  • Manage the service process, from technical specification to completion, including qualitative controls of the service delivered.
  • Carry out hotel technical and F&I inspections of the ships, following company procedures and policies.
  • Manage follow-up on issues reported by ships and brands managers.
  • Execute projects related to capital expenditures, including furniture, catering, and culinary equipment, pool and jacuzzi plant, laundry equipment, and hotel area in general.
  • Plan, manage, and supervise the Travelling Riding Team, according to the specific work schedule, in replacement of external contractors.

Requirements

  • Degree in Naval Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Interior Design.
  • Professional training in design or technical engineering desirable.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the cruise sector or equivalent.
  • Data Bases and Analysis (office package: Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • AutoCAD (reader is sufficient).
  • Technical Drawings reading and understanding.
  • Good management/leadership skills for projects.
  • Strong organization, delegation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to details and structured way of working.
  • Shore-based experience is preferred.
  • Very good English language skills.
