With a commitment to achieving net carbon-neutral ship operations by 2050, we have established a center of excellence dedicated to defining and implementing our decarbonization strategy alongside its multifaceted technological challenges. Through our innovative services, we empower AIDA Cruises and Costa Crociere vessels to adapt to the evolving demands of the cruise sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Hotel F&I and Technical maintenance, including budget management and spare parts oversight.
- Provide daily updates to the Fleet Team regarding the status of assigned vessels.
- Ensure accurate planning and timely execution of Hotel technical and F&I operations related to both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, enhancements, projects, and technical modifications.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental protection in collaboration with vessel and shore-based departments.
- Manage Hotel F&I and Technical Dry Dock activities, including budget forecasting and control.
- Efficiently plan and manage projects and activities.
- Oversee the entire service process, from technical specifications and bids to the completion of activities, ensuring quality control of services rendered.
- Schedule, prioritize, and organize work in accordance with company protocols.
- Conduct Hotel technical and F&I inspections of vessels per company procedures and policies.
- Effectively manage follow-ups on issues reported by vessels and brand managers.
- Execute capital expenditure projects within your area of responsibility, including furniture, catering and culinary equipment, pool and jacuzzi systems, laundry equipment, and general hotel areas.
- Plan, manage, and supervise the Travelling Riding Team according to specific work schedules in lieu of external contractors.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Naval Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Interior Design.
- Professional training in design or technical engineering is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the cruise sector or a related field.
- Proficient in data analysis and office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (reading skills are sufficient).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, delegation, and interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
- Shore-based experience is preferred.
- Proficient in English.
