Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematical Risk Analyst to join our US Property team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and managing risks associated with our reinsurance contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk assessment models to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with underwriters to determine adequate premiums and finalize underwriting decisions
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships to ensure excellent service and support
  • Participate in internal and external specialist events and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
  • Manage contracts, including correspondence in English

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a degree in insurance, business, economics, or mathematics, or a commercial insurance training
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a (re-)insurance company or auditing
  • Confident communication skills in English and independent user skills in German
  • International mindset and willingness to travel to the USA several times a year
