Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing reinsurance inquiries, calculating premiums, and supporting the entire process through to the decision stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze reinsurance treaty portfolios and provide recommendations for optimal risk management strategies
- Develop and maintain complex mathematical models to calculate premiums and assess risk
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Compile, check, and modify treaty documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor primary insurance and reinsurance markets to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments
- Cultivate and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Conduct balance sheet, solvency, and KPI analyses to develop customer-specific reinsurance solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. economics, mathematics, business administration)
- Initial experience in the (re)insurance or financial sector, gained through internships or other means
- Proficient user skills in English, independent user skills in German and Italian, combined with strong communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally for business purposes
- International mindset, talent for negotiation, and enthusiasm for cementing our market position among the top reinsurers
