Staff Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Scientist to join our team at the Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and proteomics technology platform.
Key Responsibilities:- Optimize and apply different quantitative proteomic methods, including SILAC, TMT, and label-free approaches with DDA and DIA.
- Develop and implement new proteomics approaches tailored to specific collaborative projects.
- Support users of the MS facility throughout the MS workflow from sample preparation to data analysis.
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to maintain and operate the LC/MS instruments.
- PhD degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, or relevant fields with a strong expertise in mass spectrometry.
- Excellent knowledge of different quantitative proteomic techniques.
- Experience in handling LC/MS instruments, particularly Thermo Fisher Orbitrap Tribrid and Exploris mass spectrometers.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
