Gentex Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Requirements Engineer to join our team. As a Requirements Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing the automotive market and driving product development.

About the Role

The Requirements Engineer will be responsible for identifying performance and behavior expectations from our customers, including major names in automotive, aerospace, and other markets. You will work closely with Systems, Software, and Hardware developers to clearly communicate technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and coach team members to ensure technical information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Review and evaluate technical dependencies to guide project priorities.
  • Set technical direction within complex projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical specifications, data sheets, and schematics.
  • Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS, Jama, Polarion, Capterra, Visure.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Jira, Rally, Azure Dev Ops.
  • Embedded software development skills, including test, architecture, and C or other coding.
  • Electrical hardware development skills, including microprocessors and power management.
  • Cybersecurity development skills, including ISO 21434 objectives.
