Gentex Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Requirements Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a critical role in defining and documenting the requirements for our innovative products.

About the Role

The Senior Requirements Engineer will be responsible for collecting and refining requirements from external and internal sources, including regulations, customer specifications, and engineering disciplines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that requirements are clear, feasible, and necessary. Your expertise will be essential in guiding project priorities and negotiating with customers to ensure that specifications are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and refine requirements from external and internal sources
  • Review and ensure compliance with standards and regulations
  • Mentor and coach other engineers in requirements management best practices
  • Evaluate technical dependencies to guide project priorities
  • Negotiate with customers to ensure clear and feasible specifications
  • Participate in recruiting and screening of candidates
  • Set technical direction within complex projects

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience managing formal sets of peer-reviewed requirements
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical specifications, data sheets, and schematics
  • Degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
