Avionics Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Test Engineer to join our team at OSB AG. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and maintenance of test systems for avionics development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support for simulation and test tool suites required for the validation and verification of helicopter developments.
- Be a focal point for users of the test systems used and ensure the availability and stability of the test tool used landscape.
- Work in a young, quality, and standard-oriented team and collaborate with subcontractors who support the maintenance of operational tools.
- Ensure the availability of test systems and monitor their availability and services.
- Investigate root causes and coordinate test systems support activities for avionics development.
- Ensure correct diagnosis of avionics systems, test tools, including hardware and software, IT infrastructure, and methods and processes.
- Develop smaller tools for support activities in the area of maintenance and install new tool suites.
- Manage the diagnosis and solution of problems in the field of test systems for avionics.
- Monitor test systems used (hardware and software) and ensure the implementation of measures.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure proper IT support and cooperate with the development team in Marignane (France) to represent the requirements of Donauwörth.
- Develop, integrate, maintain, and support test scenarios in the test system for end users.
- Support development in Marignane/Donauwörth and continuously improve test systems and processes to enable end users to increase their efficiency.
- Hold a degree in the field of engineering, aerospace technology, avionics, or comparable.
- Have relevant work experience in engineering and first experience in project management.
- Be experienced with support and have knowledge of simulations, software tools, and avionics.
- Be confident in handling Windows and UNIX/Linux as well as MS Office.
- Have knowledge in programming languages, including Python and C, C++.
- Have a strong customer and service orientation.
- Have a precise way of working and ability to comply with standards.
- Have a keen interest in continuous improvement.
- Have experience in international cooperation and the will for traveling.
- Have fluent German and English skills and ideally French skills.
