Position Overview:

Airbus Helicopters is in search of a

#ET7R_Avionics Systems Architect (d/f/m)

This role is situated within the "Avionics and Systems Architecture" division of the Design Office Directorate. You will engage in a multinational environment, primarily collaborating with Avionics Architects across various civil and military helicopter initiatives, while closely interfacing with other architects and stakeholders in avionics, vehicle systems, project management, safety, certification, and customer support.

At our Donauwörth facility, positioned along the picturesque Danube River, we are dedicated to developing helicopters from concept to operational readiness, with an on-site test airfield for practical evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from stakeholders including projects, marketing, support, end-users, and clients
  • Develop operational concepts and use cases for comprehensive avionics systems
  • Conduct functional analysis and outline functional architecture, including functional workflows
  • Detail all requirements (both functional and non-functional) related to the avionics system
  • Validate and distribute the complete set of avionics requirements to relevant avionics functions
  • Define all external interfaces for avionics systems
  • Recommend the most efficient avionics design through trade-off analysis, considering constraints and other influencing factors (safety, compliance, cost, weight, volume, reuse, industrial strategy, partnerships, etc.)
  • Facilitate Filter Boards at the avionics level for issue resolution
  • Oversee overall verification processes at the avionics level
  • Prepare technical documentation for Qualification and Certification at the avionics level
  • Lead flight clearance processes
  • Coordinate with other helicopter systems (vehicle systems) and ground segments

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering (Avionics), Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Significant practical experience in relevant operational areas
  • Familiarity with tools such as Doors, Visio, Reqtify, Mantis, Nectar, Windchill, Cameo, and 3D Experience (TRA/TRM/EEW/RGD) is advantageous
  • Team-oriented, customer-focused, and proactive in problem-solving
  • Able to navigate complex environments and prioritize effectively
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German is a plus

This position may require a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by the appropriate authorities.
