Actuary Pricing Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Actuary Pricing Specialist to join our team at Munich Re. As a key member of our pricing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support team strategy development for pricing tool development and risk/income pricing methodology
- Take an active and organizing role in delivery processes, including requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, user acceptance testing, sign-off procedures, and deployment
- Cooperate with subject matter experts in pricing to identify key capabilities required and potential risks and issues, and support the implementation of measures required
- Further elaborate pricing and risk management infrastructure and establish and/or improve processes in cooperation with interfaces, including IT, client pricing units, and/or internal expert networks
- Structuring and modeling of reinsurance contracts and performing stochastic reinsurance pricings to support business decisions
- Drive or participate in agile projects and initiatives supporting our business strategy
- Consulting and training of colleagues and cedents
- Closely collaborate with client pricing and business units, as well as with central units IT, Corporate Underwriting, and Valuation
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Actuary Pricing Specialist with a strong background in actuarial science and pricing. You will have a very good degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a comparable qualification, and membership in the DAV or a comparable foreign Association of Actuaries.
Requirements
- Profound working experience in primary insurance or reinsurance in the areas of pricing
- Comprehensive experience in development with C#, Java, or similar, and with SQL databases and/or development
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and PowerShell
- Good knowledge of insurance modeling software AXIS, Prophet, or similar
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to comprehend complex actuarial issues and explain to others
- Strong creativity and ability to develop new solutions/concepts
- High degree of entrepreneurial attitude, customer orientation, responsibility, and motivation
- Very good presentation and trainer skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English, basic command of German required; good command of Spanish is an advantage
