Senior ATE Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced ATE Test Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh, Scotland, working alongside our international semiconductor company that specializes in automotive semiconductors and software solutions for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), driver automation, user experience, and electrification applications.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, excellent communication skills in English, and expertise in semiconductor test methodology. Experience with digital, mixed-signal, PMIC devices, and VLSI ATE is essential, with system-level and RF/SOC experience being a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and document test plans for new devices.
- Design and debug test software and hardware for production and reliability.
- Debug new silicon.
- Bring quality and cost-effective test solutions for mass production.
- Oversee test-related activities (hardware and software) with both internal and external test houses.
- Implement test programs, modify, and release into offsite production.
Requirements:
- Strong programming skills in writing and debugging test programs and hardware-related issues.
- Competency in programming with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python) and high-level languages (e.g., C/C++, Java).
- Validated experience with test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, VNA, etc.).
- Highly preferred knowledge of V93000 SOC Tester – Smartest 7 or Smartest 8.
