About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Buyer to join our Operations team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for high-quality ingredients, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing the supply chain to minimize costs and reduce lead times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for ingredients to ensure quality and cost control
  • Create long-term procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and secure pricing through market analysis and risk management
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules
  • Optimize the supply chain to minimize costs, reduce lead times, and improve efficiency through process improvements
  • Ensure that all ingredients meet the required standards for food safety, taste, texture, and nutritional content
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify new ingredients and assess competitor strategies
Requirements
  • Extensive experience with procurement of commodities
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or relevant professional training or certification in procurement
  • Several years of experience in procurement in the food or beverage industry
  • Strong negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail, with proficiency in financial analysis, contract negotiation, and risk management
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, quality assurance standards, and familiarity with food safety regulations and sustainability practices
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify innovation opportunities, and focus on cost savings and efficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, along with adaptability in managing supply chain disruptions
