Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Planet A Foods GmbH team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing strategies for high-quality ingredients. This will involve managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.

You will also be responsible for optimizing the supply chain to minimize costs, reduce lead times, and improve efficiency through process improvements. Additionally, you will ensure that all ingredients meet the required standards for food safety, taste, texture, and nutritional content.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience with procurement of commodities;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field; alternatively, relevant professional training or certification in procurement;
  • Several years of experience in procurement in the food or beverage industry;
  • Strong negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail, with proficiency in financial analysis, contract negotiation, and risk management;
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, quality assurance standards, and familiarity with food safety regulations and sustainability practices;
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify innovation opportunities, and focus on cost savings and efficiency;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, along with adaptability in managing supply chain disruptions;
  • A hands-on professional eager to lead by example before building and scaling a team.
