About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist in Applied AI in Digital Pathology to join our team at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen. As a key member of our research team, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing deep learning algorithms for digital pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Algorithm Development: Design, develop, and implement deep learning algorithms for digital pathology, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Model Optimization: Continuously optimize models and analyses for sustainability and safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge Expansion: Apply explainability and interpretability techniques to expand our understanding of pathology, driving innovation in the field.
  • Feature Analysis: Conduct extensive feature analysis to identify key factors influencing model performance.
  • Result Evaluation: Evaluate, present, and interpret results, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Literature Review: Conduct independent reviews of the literature to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in digital pathology.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate and efficient data management, maintaining high data quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold a graduate degree (Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, statistics, bioinformatics, physics, or mathematics.
  • Skills: Possess advanced programming skills, experience with high-performance computing, and statistical analysis.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with excellent communication skills.
  • Language: Have a strong command of the English language (Level C2 or higher).
